FNSI and a Delicious Brunch Item

I am excited to share a project I made last night for my Friday Night Sew In.  I have been wanting to make one of these flex frame glasses case since I saw this tutorial from Crafty Ady.  I used some Mickey Mouse fabric I had some scraps of and lined it with white Minky for softness and protection.  These glasses are kept at my computer desk and I have alot of my Disney collectibles at that desk.  I love to tie things together so I thought this fabric choice was perfect.  I am trying to make useful items to store or protect my things.  I am in a determined effort to organize things around here so why not combine my crafting with my organizing.

I also want to share an easy idea that I came up with after enjoying a special offering at a local restaurant.

My husband and I went out for breakfast and he ordered a Reuben omelet.  He gave me a taste and it was amazing.  I decided I had to recreate it at home.  I just got some corned beef at the deli and added that along with some sauerkraut and Swiss cheese to a normal omelet as filling-oh and don't forget the Thousand Island dressing(that is my favorite component to a Reuben!).  It was just as good as the restaurant.  If you like Reubens, give it a try.

I also mentioned that I was able to go to my favorite quilt store-Mission Rose recently.  I thought I would share the loot I purchased there.  That is enough to keep me busy for a while!  I love that a couple of the items are complete kits.  I have had my eye on that carrot table runner for some time.  I finally splurged on it.

I hope you all have a great week ahead.  My Summer break is coming to an end so I am trying to prepare for the busy school year ahead. Take care.    Nancy
